Fresh Start Rambler: Clean Air Smoke Seal Makeover

This humble rambler was the unfortunate victim of a fire. Given it’s modest size, the smoke odor quickly engulfed the entire interior of the building. When that happens we need to demolish and strip the interior of all it’s finishes until we reach the bare stud and sub floor. What follows next is a complete smoke seal using a heavy oil based primer/ odor encapsulant. After a few days you have a structure that is ready rebuild and start breathing some fresh air again.
